Recruitment Agency in Houston for Technical and Program-Driven Hiring

We calibrate a Houston role before we source it, then we run a Sourcing Sprint, Full Search or Embedded Partner search from a remote-first base, reaching into six global regions when the right technical or program hire is not sitting in Houston.

What a Houston search looks like

Calibration call. Before sourcing starts, we talk through what the role actually needs to do, not just the title on the req. For Houston, that usually means the shape of the program or contract behind the hire, the technical bar, and what "good" looks like in the first six months. Exceptional hiring starts with exceptional judgment, not a job description.

Talent map. From the calibration call we build a map of where the right candidates sit, by function, seniority and region. For a Houston energy, aerospace or govcon search, that map often stretches beyond the city, because the mix of technical depth and program experience a role needs is not evenly distributed.

Outreach. We engage candidates directly, with a message built around the real mandate rather than a generic pitch. Most of a search's time goes here, and it is invisible to the client until candidates start responding.

Scorecard. Partway through a search, we check our own read of the role against the same framework the Hiring Scorecard uses: role clarity, hiring readiness, talent market fit and recruitment capacity. If any of those come in weaker than we assumed at calibration, we adjust before we go further.

Shortlist. "Done" here means a calibrated set of candidates already qualified against the role's real requirements, not resumes that match keywords. This is the deliverable in a Sourcing Sprint.

Interviews. In a Full Search, we run or support the interview process, structuring what gets assessed at each stage so the hiring manager is not relearning the role in every conversation.

Offer and close. We manage the offer conversation and the close, including compensation calibration and competing offers. Done means a signed acceptance, not a verbal yes.

How we work with Houston companies without a storefront there

We have no branch, no address and no local team in Houston. We are a remote-first search firm based in California, and we run this search the way a firm with a Houston address would: calibrating the role against the local market, sourcing candidates who are actually reachable and relevant, and managing the process end to end.

The difference is that we are not limited to whoever happens to be looking in Houston that month. We search across six regions, Western Europe, North America, Balkans, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Latin America, because the strongest person for a Houston role, particularly a cleared, technical or program-shaped one, is not always in Houston or even in the United States. Talent is not limited by geography, and neither is the search.

The three engagement models

Every Houston search runs under one of three structures, described here by what is included and when a fee is owed, not by price.

[object Object]

Fees vary based on role seniority, search complexity and hiring volume, and executive-level or unusually complex searches are quoted individually. Pricing is available on request. The Hiring Scorecard takes about two minutes and points to which model fits, and the difference between the first two is covered in Sourcing Sprint vs Full Search and Embedded Recruiter vs RPO. Background on how fee structures work across the industry is in Recruiter Fees and Engagement Models Explained.

The sectors we search for Houston companies

Houston's hiring is dominated by technical and operational work, and much of it is program-shaped: headcount arrives with a contract or a project and has to be staffed on that timeline. We search this market across the four sectors we search in.

Government Contracting. Contractors staffing technical, logistics and international program roles after a contract award: Cleared Talent, Technical and Professional Services, Logistics, OCONUS / International, Program Support, Skilled Trades. Our government contracting work tracks newly awarded contracts to identify workforce need earlier, which matters for Houston contractors moving between program phases. See Government Contractor Recruiting: A Guide to Award-Driven Hiring and How We Run an OCONUS Recruiting Search.

Leadership and Executive Search. Operations, project and supply chain leadership for engineering-led organizations: Operations Leadership, Supply Chain Leadership, Project Management, VP-Level Roles, Heads of Function.

Product, Technology and AI. Industrial software, data and automation teams inside energy and healthcare organizations: Staff Software Engineer, Backend Engineering, Automation and Systems Builder, AI / Machine Learning Engineering.

Growth and Ecommerce. Consumer and B2B brands building direct channels out of a Gulf Coast distribution base: Head of Ecommerce, Head of Growth, Fulfillment / 3PL, Inventory and Demand Planning.

When a Houston company does not need us

If the role is a single, well-defined mid-level position, the comp range is realistic for the market, and applicants are already coming in through normal channels, running the process internally is the right call. A search partner earns its fee on roles where the mandate is unclear, the candidate pool is thin, the hire is program-critical, or the search has already stalled once. If none of that applies, post the job and run the interviews yourselves.

The short version

We run Houston searches as a remote-first firm: calibration first, then a talent map that can reach across six regions, then outreach, shortlist, interviews, offer and close. There is no Houston branch, and that is a sourcing advantage, not a gap. Sourcing Sprint, Full Search and Embedded Partner are structured differently depending on how much of the process you want to run yourself, with pricing available on request rather than published here. See every city we run searches for for how the same approach applies elsewhere.

Tell us about the role. We'll come back with a calibrated shortlist, and pricing for the model that fits.

Questions companies ask

Do you have a Houston office?

No. We are a remote-first international firm based in California, with no branch or local team in Houston. That does not cost you anything in the search itself: calibration, talent mapping and outreach do not require a local desk, and our reach into six sourcing regions is a byproduct of not being tied to one city.

Is this a recruitment agency Houston TX companies would call local, or a national firm that also covers Houston?

We are a national and international search firm that runs searches for Houston companies specifically, calibrated to Houston's technical and program-driven hiring pattern, rather than a local agency working a fixed roster.

How is this different from a general recruiting firm Houston companies already know?

Most local firms work from whoever is already in their database. We calibrate the role first, then build a talent map that can extend into six global regions, which matters most for cleared, technical or hard-to-fill roles where the right candidate is not always local.

How do you decide which engagement model fits our hiring?

The Hiring Scorecard asks nine questions about role clarity, hiring readiness, talent market fit and recruitment capacity, then recommends Sourcing Sprint, Full Search or Embedded Partner based on the answers. Most single, well-defined roles land in Full Search; ongoing or high-volume hiring points to Embedded Partner.

What does a recruitment agency in Houston actually charge?

We do not publish pricing on this page. Fees vary based on role seniority, search complexity and hiring volume, and executive-level or unusually complex searches are quoted individually; pricing is available on request.

Can you help with a government contract hire that needs to move fast?

Yes. Our government contracting work starts from contract-award intelligence rather than waiting for the req to open, covered in Government Contractor Recruiting: A Guide to Award-Driven Hiring and on our government contracting page.
